Why does this happen?
Emote switching uses the same core logic as firmware update โ it rewrites the deviceโs system data, which works like a mini system update.
If the network is unstable, your phone locks, or you exit the app mid-process, the data write will be interrupted and corrupt system files. This causes a black screen and incorrect 0% battery display.
This is only a software data issue. Your deviceโs battery and screen hardware are not damaged, and charging cannot fix this kind of software error.
How to fix it
- Make sure your phone has a stable network and is connected to the device via Bluetooth normally
- Set your phone auto-lock to 15 minutes / Never, and stay on the app page the whole time
- Run the emote switch (or firmware update) again and wait for the full process to finish
- Once completed, the device will recover automatically, and the battery level will return to normal
